Dr. Starane Shepherd is joined by Dr. Maysaa Basha for the fourth episode of the Neurocritical Care Society Podcast Series to discuss Dr. Basha's recently published paper, "Acute Resective Surgery for the Treatment of Refractory Status Epilepticus".

  • Maysaa Basha, M.D.

    Maysaa Basha, M.D., joined the Department of Neurology at Wayne State University as faculty in 2010. She is board certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy and is part of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. She is a metro-Detroit native and completed both her medical education and neurology residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine. She then completed epilepsy training at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio under the direction of Hans Lüders, M.D., Ph.D. before returning to Wayne State.
    Dr. Basha’s clinical and research interests include the treatment of medically intractable epilepsy, treatment of status epilepticus, EEG and seizure semiology analysis, and seizure safety.
