  • Marion Maseby-Knappe, MD

PhD student and MD at the Neurology Department at Skåne University Hospital in Lund.

Dr. Moseby-Knappe is an MD who divides her time between clinical work at the Neurology Department at Skåne University hospital as a Resident in Neurology and research as a PhD-student in the Cardiac Arrest Group. Her research field is within the Target Temperature Management (TTM)-Study in patients after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Currently she is analysing the TTM-data collected from head computed tomography (CT) in comatose patients on the Intensive Care Unit. The aim is to find out how the CT findings correlate with patient outcome. In future, they aim to validate the new 2015 European Resuciation Counsil/ European Society of Intensive Care Medicines Guidelines for Post-Resucitation Care. She believes that a multimodal approach using head CT, EEG and biomarkers might be a reliable tool to identify comatose cardiac arrest patients with a poor prognosis.
