Sara J. Stern-Nezer, MD
Dr. Sara Stern-Nezer is a board-certified UCI Health neurologist and neurointensivist who primarily sees patients in the hospital when they are admitted to the neuroscience intensive care unit.
Stern-Nezer earned her medical degree at Stanford School of Medicine in Stanford, Calif., followed by an internal medicine internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and a neurology residency at Stanford Hospital. She also completed a fellowship in neurocritical care at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
Stern-Nezer’s interests include clinical trials in neurocritical care and stroke, quality improvement, sleep and delirium. She also is focused on long-term outcomes after acute neurological injury, including cognitive changes, fatigue and depression.
